In the year 1986 Capt. Dr. P Arulmozhichelvan took charge and served for 17 years. In
refresher course II, he secured Second rank in all India level (1994). He served as
contingent Commander of BLC for Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Andaman Nicobar islands
Directorate in the year 1998. In the year 1998, 14 cadets (Out of 107) of our college took
part in the Republic day parade in Delhi.
In the year 2004, LL. K. S. Sridhar of Physical Education department served as an ANO till
2009. In the year 2004 during the pre-commission course he had the privilege to receive the
recipient of Director General Baton of Honour award. He also represented the Tamilnadu and
Pondicherry contingent for the Republic Day Parade as ANO during the years 2005 and 2009.
LL. Dr. B. Devan took charge as ANO from 2011 till date.
NAVAL WING
TThe Naval wing started in the year 1952. In the Year 1965 the naval wing was combined into
Centralized Unit with Pachaiyappa's College, Presidency and Loyola College as part of it
under S/Lt. Dr.K.P.Kandasamy, Department of Physics till 1970. In the year 1970, the
centralized unit was replaced as NCC Naval troop. Mr. S/Lt K. Balasubramanian, Department of
Mathematics served as a Troop Commander for three years till 1973. Lt. Cdr. M. P. Murugesan
(NCCN/14171), Department of Botany, served as a Troop Commander till 1994.Subsequently Lt.
Dr. M. Kolangiyappan (NCCN/28087) took charge and served for a decade. Later, Prof. R.
Elayaperumal, Department of Mathematics served as a care taker for a year in 2005. Later the
troops was upgraded into divisions and S/Lt. Dr. P. C. Sathya Narayanan (NCC/14120034)
Department of Zoology, transfer from NCC Air Force wing to Naval Wing as care taker in the
year 2013 was commissioned as a first divisional commander from 26th December 2016 till
date.

The CADO Green Programme Inter-Collegiate Competition is being conducted by the Unit for the
last six years.
The Unit donates blood to various hospitals.
The unit has the privilege of participating in the RD Parade held at Marina every Year.
